My preordered copy of the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
arrived today, and all I can say is... wow. This game is
just so huge, (100+ hours if you count all the sidequests)
it defies description. The graphics are predictably
gorgeous, with deep, rich HDR textures that look good
enough to eat off of (if that were possible). All I have to
do now is concentrate long enough to finish GRAW before
Oblivion consumes me...

LimpJedi has officially rejoined the
clan. All is not lost.
Actually, Limp has come back to us, in somewhat unofficial
status, to help get the =HCN= PC Division going again. He's
also brought Fenrir with him, who as of now is on a trial
basis with the rank of "Initiate". Some of you may remember
him as a frequent poster on our old forums, he's been
playing a lot on the PC with Limp as of late, and is as
psyched as anyone about the possibility of playing Huxley
when it is released.

I went into EBGames and bought a copy of Ghost
Recon Advanced Warfighter today. What a game! The
graphics are excellent, and Red Storm has somehow
managed to improve and streamline an already
brilliantly simple quick menu system (for issuing
commands, selecting and using equipment, etc.). My
favourite addition to the game is the UAV (Unmanned
Aerial Vehicle), which is deceptively harmless and
oh-so-useful. The added emphasis on vehicles in combat
is nice, too: there's nothing like calling an M1A1
Abrams tank in to lay the smack down on some unwitting
foe. GRAW is an overall superb game, deserving of
OXM's 9.0, though Ghost AI could've
been a lot better. I'm a little disappointed that
Ubisoft seems to increasingly be favouring action over
realism, something which made the first Ghost Recon a
particularly memorable and rewarding game for me. For
the rest of my GRAW verdict, check out this thread on our forums.
